In a traditional tape backup environment, replication consists of un-encrypted tapes being carried offsite and stored in a vault, or in some cases at someone’s house. This means each day you are sending your company’s financial, customer, and proprietary business information outside of your office for any one to take. Are you backing up to an external disk drive instead of tapes? The same problem exists, but in a much more accessible manor to a would be data thief.

securITvault encrypts your data BEFORE it leaves the client machine. The data is encrypted and compressed before it is even sent to a securITvault appliance or to our offsite securITvault data center. This means all data replicated to a second appliance or offsite is already encrypted with 256-bit encryption.

With securITvault’s replication feature your data can be sent from one appliance to another within your enterprise. Additionally your data can be replicated to securITvault’s offsite data center where it is stored in two separate geographically located data centers. Having multiple data copies ensures your company’s disaster recovery and business continuity in a timely manner.
